Among the places L. Ron Hubbard lived and worked, there are those of supreme significance—the landmarks of Scientology which will always resonate with his presence, and where he left an indelible stamp on our history. One such landmark is Ron’s house at Camelback in Phoenix, Arizona, where he moved in March 1952. For it was here that he developed the first exteriorization process and advanced fully into the realm of the human spirit, and here that the religion of Scientology was born. Extensive research was done, with meticulous attention paid to the smallest details, to ensure this house was restored to full historical accuracy. Careful review of documents, photographs and interviews with those who were there with him were consulted to ensure you will experience Ron’s Camelback house as it actually was when he lived there. You’ll step right into the same living room where he met with students and demonstrated the newly developed E-Meter. There is even the upright piano where he sat and researched the wavelength of theta. You’ll see Ron’s study and his desk—complete with his dictaphone, pens and ink bottles—where he typed, laid out and proofed some of the manuscripts for the five Scientology books he released during this time. And for a view of Ron’s achievements while in Phoenix, there are the original articles and letters he wrote, the camera with which he photographed congress attendees, the story of the origin of the first Scientology cross he designed, first editions of the books he wrote, the first LRH bust sculpted by a student, and more. Here you can truly walk in Ron’s footsteps and see where he forged the path to spiritual freedom for all mankind. |
