Ron Hubbard was a philosopher without peer.
In his quest for answers to the riddles of life, he refused to bend to dogmatic traditions or accept pragmatic philosophies which provided no insight. When he found a datum that was not immediately applicable to life and which opened no door to further knowledge, he abandoned it and sought one that would.

He saw life from the bottom up and from the top down, traveling millions of miles and studying dozens of cultures to seek out the motivating force behind all living forms.
He tested and codified his discoveries, then offered them to others so that they, too, might improve their lives.
When he had found the source of mental aberration and developed processes that could be understood and applied by any man on the street, he published these in a book so that all might share in that knowledge.
But even then he did not rest. He had discovered that man thought in pictures, and that these pictures could affect ones health and well-being. He knew that there were riddles still to be solved and after the publication of Dianetics: The Modern Science Of Mental Health in 1950, he began to search for these in earnest.
And all the while, Ron found the time to impart to others, the knowledge he gained about life and how to handle life. He wrote dozens of books on the subject and penned thousands of technical bulletins and advice letters. He delivered lectures on the findings of his researches and imparted the technical breakthroughs he made, as soon as they were codified.
And with the discovery of the spiritual nature of man, Ron was embarking on yet another journey -- this time, one that would take him into realms of religious philosophy where no man had ever been before. This adventure led him to the discovery of the exact identity of man as a spiritual being -- to the study of knowledge itself, knowing how to know -- SCIENTOLOGY.
In a lifetime of dedication to helping his fellow man, L. Ron Hubbard did far more than light a torch to be held as a beacon -- he handed every man the torch of truth and understanding for his own use in following the path to Total Freedom.
